A study form Australia showed that lifters who performed 8 sets of squats twice a week were 20 percent stronger after 6 weeks compared to those who did just 4 sets were just 14 percent stronger. Lead study author recommends starting your workout with heavy sets of squats, presses, or deadlifts.
