If you’re considering using spooky contact lenses for you Halloween costume, you may want to reconsider. Eye experts say you should stick to lenses from licensed optometrists. The novelty lenses aren’t made in approved facilities and may have materials that are bad for your eyes. According to doctors, since there is no quality control using them may put you at risk for infection and maybe even blindness.
HALLOWEEN MAKEUP WARNING
An environmental watchdog group is warning that some Halloween makeup and face paint may be toxic to children. A recent study done by the Breast Cancer Fund analyzed a variety of Halloween makeup marketed to kids, they tested nearly 50 products and at least one heavy metal was found in nearly half the samples. Lead was found in 10 of them. Researchers say use all natural makeup.
